Earlier this month ACEnet staff traveled to Mingo County, West Virginia to visit with our friends from Coalfield Development at their Highwall Project. The Highwall is a former coal mining site that Coalfield has reclaimed for agricultural efforts. Today, the site is home to a high tunnel, farming operation, and livestock and offers a cabin for rent.

Stay tuned for more updates about how we’re working to build regional food system partnerships!
