Share your ideas! Join ACEnet, Project for Public Spaces & the Athens Farmers Market for a public workshop to discuss future site plans for the Athens Farmers Market. Thanks to a federal grant from the USDA, the Athens Farmers Market may have a permanent home. The City of Athens and ACEnet seek community input for the development of a ten acre plot of land on the Community Center property.

As part of the grant, a national consulting firm, Project for Public Spaces (PPS), will hold a public workshop on September 27th, from 9 am – 12 pm at the Athens Community Center. This workshop will include a visit to the site, the ten acre plot of land that currently houses the dog park, and discussions on possible shared uses and amenities for the space.

Your participation and input is important to making quick dynamic changes and bringing outdoor spaces to life as a place for the whole community, so please come share your ideas. This event will specifically explore uses for a multi-use facility on the Athens Community Center property.
