Sean Terrell

Sean Terrell currently serves as the Dean of Workforce Development and Community Engagement at Hocking College. In his role as Dean, Sean leads a team of dynamic workforce and economic development professionals who are passionate about transforming the Appalachian Ohio economy through short-term, for-credit and non-credit training programs that lead to rewarding careers in high demand, high-wage industries. In addition to sector-led workforce development, the Hocking College Office of Workforce Development supports new business development in Southeast Ohio through a number of entrepreneurship programs including the Hocking Makers Network and EntreEd.

The Hocking College Office of Workforce Development oversees 15 academic programs, including Construction, Manufacturing, Culinary, and Laboratory Sciences. In addition to these academic programs, the Workforce Office manages multiple entrepreneurial ventures for the College, including a brewery, distillery, Rhapsody Restaurant, The Lodge at Hocking College, and the Hocking Maker’s Network. These ventures provide apprenticeship opportunities to students and promote business growth in Southeast Ohio.

Before coming to Hocking College, Sean held numerous positions in non-profit organizations in Atlanta, Georgia and Columbus, Ohio. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education with emphasis in Trumpet Performance from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Business Administration from Ohio University.
